When I lay aside my life's work
And all else I've ever known
When my final breath is taken
With a yielding painful groan
When my spirit life floats free
And leaves my flesh and bone
I Will carry no accounting
Except all my own ... alone.
When I depart this Earthy place
And go up where I belong
I will leave no big empty space
Nor a massive name in stone
But I'll hear all hymns asinging
As a single glorious song
And I'll see my Savior reigning
Where and when .... I am gone.
